The themes behind her work draw inspiration from landscape and coast lines, using the organic forms found on beaches and patterns found in nature. All the work plays with themes relating to harmony and the fleetingness of time, with composition, colour and light becoming the principle elements.
Hetty’s recent landscapes document the movement of light over the land in rural Angus.
